Happy Friday! The countdown to school has begun with only 11 more days until the first day. My daughter’s field hockey season has begun, so she’s been at practice for four hours every morning. Here are five from this week.

1. Caramoor – Friday night my husband and I went to see Neil Francis at Caramoor. It was our first time at this venue and the concert was outdoors on the lawn.

2. NYBG – Saturday we went to the New York Botanical Garden. We went on an unplanned guided  bird watching 101 tour, which was fun. We also got to visit the Ebony G. Patterson exhibit that I had been wanting to see.

3. Reading – This week I finished reading Look Closer by David Ellis. This was a great suspense novel with lots of twists!

4. Cooking  – This week we made Crispy Tofu and Rice Salad, Pesto Pasta Pie, Spicy Soyrizo & Orzo Skillet and tonight cheese calzone.

5.  Watching – I haven’t watched too much television this week. I watched The Bachelorette finale this week. I knew Charity was going to pick Dotun. But I’m so glad Joey is the next Bachelor. I really like him! I also caught up on RHONY and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

6. Bath & Body Works – This past weekend Bath & Body Works had their soaps on sale for $2.95 each. I love their foaming soaps but don’t like the regularly priced $7.95 a bottle. So I stocked up on a bunch of fall scents! Not shown are Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte and Sunshine and Lemons, that my daughter picked out for her bathroom.

7. Memes: This week, they all seem to have the same theme of I’m getting old! LOL!

I am recording songs onto a cassette tape old!

Sharing with Friday Favorites!  Have a great weekend!

  1. I’m cassette/boombox old too! LOL I love all the Bath and Bodyworks scents but just one bottle lasts me a long time since I’m the only one that uses them. Two of my boys have eczema on their hands and need unscented soap with extra lotion and stuff in and two of my guys work with grease and dirt and need “REAL” hand cleaner (they use some sort of made for guy stuff that has grit in it). But when I see them on sale and they smell so good it’s hard to hold back.

  2. I am a “take my tape player out to the car and record from the radio there” old!! Can you believe there was a time that you had to WAIT for the radio to play your favorite song or MTV to play your favorite video??
Enjoy your last days of summer 🙂
